Mission

Mission of Skateistan US:

1. To foster national and international communication and understanding among local and international cultures,

2. to build the confidence, leadership, teamwork, and other life skills of vulnerable target beneficiaries and undeserved youth worldwide, and

3. to provide safe recreational and educational facilities for such youth.

Purpose of Skateistan US:

Skateistan US is a US nonprofit corporation organized exclusively for charitable, literary, and educational purposes. The Skateistan US nonprofit is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Skateistan US currently furthers its purposes by making grants to organizations with missions similar to its own. Skateistan US currently supports operations in Afghanistan carried out by the Skateistan Afghan NGO by providing funding and technical assistance pursuant to a sponsorship agreement. Skateistan US provides oversight of expenditures of its grant funds in Afghanistan to ensure funds are properly used.
